Our Vision

The vision of the First Baptist

Student Ministry is to:

We believe that once a person receives Christ in our ministry, our job has just begun.  The Bible clearly speaks of the necessity of each believer to grow in his or her spiritual walk.  It is for this reason that our vision seeks to introduce STUDENTS to Christ.  The students we hope to cultivate are life long learners who are passionate about becoming more Christlike each and every day.  We feel that as Christians, we are commanded to adhere to certain disciplines which aid in strengthening our relationship with God.

These disciplines include:

• Daily Quiet Time   (making time for God)
• Prayer   (talking to God)
• Evangelism   (sharing with others about God)
• Worship   (reflecting back to God)
• Service  (spreading the love of God)
• Stewardship  (giving back to God)
